Monday night was the second of two wonderful events put on by two couples who are concerned about the direction of Milam County and want to make a difference in helping conservative Republicans win November 2nd.

Sunday Night Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lister sponsored a Mexican Fiesta-Style Rally at their home in Maysfield complete with a band, folk dancers, and fireworks. Thanks you to the Lister’s for their hospitality.

Last night, October 11th, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Kubiak sponsored a Meet and Greet for Dave Barkemeyer and the rest of the Republican candidates at Taqueria Banda’s. About 70 people made their way to the event and spoke with candidates as the casual come and go function was a tremendous success. Thanks to the Kubiak’s for their generosity.

Remember, all the candidates have been out block walking and the response has been very positive to date. Now we need everyone’s help with this so if you have a chance, don’t miss out on the final two County-Wide Block Walks the 16th and 30th of October, both of these are Saturdays. We will meet at 9:30 am. We are working to make a real move towards a conservative County Government that will work better with our state and federal leadership. To do that we need to elect our Republican Candidates and support them during this election by donating to their campaigns, volunteering your time, or by bringing your friends and family to events to let them speak with the candidates directly.

Remember, October 19th is the Rally at Fair Park in Rockdale. We will be starting this about 6:00 at the New Salem Building at Fair Park in Rockdale. Everyone plan on attending and come out and meet your Republican Candidates. All of our local candidates will be there and I have invited all of our state and federal candidates as well.

If you’re in Cameron Sunday, October 17th, stop by Big Bob’s Steakhouse around 1:00 till 4:00 pm and enjoy some fried catfish with the candidates sponsored by Bob Terry and the Republican Women of Milam County.

Well, more later, Thanks to everyone for your support and help,
Bill
