This Week April 11 – April 17, 2010

Just wanted to touch base with everyone and let them know what is going on this week. Obviously, the April 13th runoff election is the most important thing of the work week. Get out and vote if you haven’t and let your voice, as well as the collective voice of the Republican Party of Milam County, be heard. The state took great notice of us during the primary and we have to continue that momentum in the runoff. I know it is not as interesting but it is important to Milam County that we are recognized for the effort.

Unhappily, Thursday is Tax Day; however, there are several Tea Party events out there to go to. Check out the Texas Tea Party site at http://www.teapartypatriots.org/State/Texas to find an event close by.

Saturday, April 17th, is the meeting of the Republican Party of Texas’ State District 5 in Caldwell at the Burleson County Expo Center. The expo center is on Hwy 36 about two miles south of intersection with Hwy 21. The meeting will begin at 9:30 am, with a sign-in and welcome. There will be a catered lunch at $15.00 a plate. Meetings will continue until 2:00 pm when everything will promptly end. This was originally to be held in Chriesman; however, the interest has become so great that a larger venue had to be secured. We need to assure Milam County has a large turn-out.

All the candidates for State Chairman will be there along with our state and locally elected representatives and candidates. Representatives from Governor Perry’s office will be there along with other dignitaries. This will be a time to meet your elected officials and the candidates vying for the opportunity to serve you. Come on out and meet them all.

Other than that, I hope everything goes well for each of you this week. In the coming weeks we will be getting with those interested in hosting candidates for meet and greets in your homes. This is a good way for the candidates to get together and meet you friends and families in an friendly setting rather than the generic public surrounding. If you’re interested in hosting one of these events please let me know.

Thanks Everyone,
Bill
